Many people don't understand that using a DSLR is not as easy as it looks. When they realized that the images doesn't meet their expectations, they rather sell the camera rather than learn how to use it.

D7000 is one heck of a DX camera ..........

well some ppl learn the hard way by buying more lens and flash untill they learn the fact

Seriously, sometimes I wonder if some new users know what they r getting...so far the more experienced guys only have praises for d7000. Maybe they sold it because they need tilt lcd more than the fundamental needs...

Not all praises, the adapter flap at the grip area is pretty irritating haha :bsmilie:

well, there r those who played with it until they get tired of it (weight can be one of major the factors that turn them off). there r those who also wanna upgrade, n there r also those who r in need of cash. to put it simply, there r tons of reasons to make them sell away their cameras, not just limited to d7000 only.

Some are also commercial sellers posing as private sellers.... always using new account each time.

Some are also gadget "players", owned it for a while to claim "been there done that", then quickly let it go before the market value depreciates.

Also if one were to buy item used, own and use it for a short period and then resell it, it can cost very little or even nothing.

D7000 is a great cam. From the reviews of popular magazines, websites & forums you will know. So judging from the B&S section is not accurate.

Some bought camera out of impulsive and thought they have passion for photography. After awhile than realized that their passion for photography had died down and getting bored. Leave the equipments in the dry cabin longer than they use it for shooting. So might as well sell it before it grew fungus.

This marks the first thread asking why so many selling D7000. There had been similar thread for D90, D300 and a few other lenses. Would be surprise if the subject be for camera like D3x or 600mm F/4.

I got 2 friends who bought D7000 only to store their camera away after few usages and not taking shot again.

I don't be surprise if they gonna sell away their cam soon

There is people who thot a mid range dslr can confirm give them the kind of quality pic they want only to find out that's not the case and realize that they got to learn more then expected to achieve quality pic that's when they being to sell away their cam.

Mid or high range dslr required knowledge and patient of learning to full utilize the camera to achieve high quality pic.

It appears fun to view others photos. Then when the person bought the DSLR (mostly on impulse and affordability) they realize that they need to learn how to used first. The impression is that the DSLR is same as PnS cameras plus there is lots of possibility because you have many choices of lenses. After some time, they usually give up. This has been my encounter with few of my friends. Photography like any other hobby is not simple. Today PnS cameras produce excellent pictures. Most people define excellent photos by sharpness of the faces/scenery that they snap. Giving up a hobby is very common. IMHO, if you do not shoot 100 shots a month, you probably won't take up the hobby seriously. This is my take.

agree.... adding on...
this is probably due to hype created when a new camera with much desire features appear. These are the people buying into the hype and didn't know if it suits them. Now, in the cooling period, these people probably regretted buying it and selling them off.

Bcos D7000 is simply not D700 or D300 and they finally realized that.

Its a pity people are selling it away.... I think its even better than D300s

It's comfirm dat d7k is a better performer than d300s. Cse I'm using both.... Heheheh.... But the main reason i decided to sell away my d7k is due to it's size. But IQ, 100% confirms beats d300s in ISO range.

Its jus me...
