pretty girls does not equal good models.
I used to shoot models, good one only I can say. And all for free. Sometimes even for a reward. So why not?

But seriously - WHY DO I (AS A NUDE MODEL) want to be PAID? Because I BELIEVE THAT I AM BRINGING SOMETHING OF VALUE TO THE PHOTOGRAPHER - I am HELPING THE PHOTOGRAPHER/ARTIST in his / her creative process. As such - nude models (or any of these models who appear in these photo shoots) - they DO NOT GET PAID A LOT - ESP NUDE MODELS - we DO NOT HAVE A REGULAR SOURCE OF INCOME - we are NOT fashion models (the fashion industry is a multi-million dollars industry and the fashion models get paid a regular sum because it is an INDUSTRY) - nude modelling is NOT an industry - and maybe it WILL NEVER BE - because it is considered 'fringe' and artistic. How many people in Singapore or Asia would want to buy a $200 or $300 photo/print of an artistic nude shot??? U know how much porn u can buy with that kind of money??? Let's not even talk about photos - even PAINTINGS! The only people who seriously try to support artists - esp young and upcoming ones - is the government and big businesses - hence the PERENNIAL COMPLAINT - not enough support for the arts ... sigh ...

THAT'S BIG BIG MOOLAH!! - HUGE WORLD-WIDE INDUSTRY - HAHA!! sigh ... but then we live in Singapore and unless I operate a porn website - say from the US etc - it's kind of impossible for now! U know - if you an adult and you are not married or in a committed relationship and you don't get yourself addicted - I think it's perfectly fine to indulge in porn once in a while

I don't think I have answered your question fully though. Oh - I almost forgot - I do have friends asking me - "Eh if these photographers/artists - um - u know - have dirty thoughts about you - HOW AH?" So I answered - I am not an X-men mutant like Jean Grey!! I CAN'T READ OR CONTROL PEOPLE'S THOUGHTS! As long as they don't behaved DODGILY DURING PHOTO SHOOTS - and during photo shoots - most photographers I have worked with are far too busy trying to get good lighting or fiddling with their equipment (NO PUN INTENDED! :bsmilie: ) to get horny!! TOUCH WOOD! i have not encountered any unseeming behaviour BUT BUT BUT - I just might in future and my hubby and I have discussed about this and on what precautions I should take. Its silly to just equate beauty with bikini models posing in the sun. The girl holding the rocket launcher at the isreali bother is a beauty as well. The courage and the beauty in the eyes of such a woman is so sweet. The beauty of woman I doubt is just limited to posing by the muddy swamp and smelling nice.
The truth of the matter is that there is nothing difficult about shooting a model hence there are no significant improvements to "skills" to shout about to begin with.
There is no genuine relationship and that relationship is important to the photographer who is in reality an Artist. I have never heard of anyone told me before they can pay for relationships.
It is different from the angle of the model. Models are posing for trade, in exchange of a return. How the return is calculated, is dependent on how common the commodity is. Its nice to hear the perspective from "mau_lovers". It is definitely an industry, and models do get paid. But the fashion-modelling/photography industry is worth only S$5million in Singapore. That is divided by the number of models, photographers, agencies and etc.
Models are just like anyone else when the lights goes off and modelling is in fact a profession that is to be respected given its volatile conditions. Thus not every model will sleep with every photographer that shoot her and is not responsible for their thoughts either. Teachers also have fantasies about their students.
Everybody would be happier if they admit that they take models because they enjoy taking photographs of model posing in whatever pose they like. Whatever they do after they develop the negatives or transfer their pictures onto the computer is dependent on themselves and we shall not interfere. Whether to worship or to use to play dart is entirely personal.
There are too many amatuerish photographers posing as professional photographers

For whatever things that goes on behind close doors is entirely between the model and the photographer to discuss, negotiate and feel if there is chemistry. Nothing wrong with that either. U can be introduced to your model in the pub too...can't u?
