Why must we declare our monthly income to ClubSNAP?

I'd accessed my profile to update certain details of my account, and when I tried to save changes it presented an error message saying certain required information was not found?

That's when I noticed that in my profile certain fields were listed as "Required Information", and one of them is my monthly income?

Why must we declare our income? And who will be privy to this information?
