I know, but $200+ I can already buy a good chrismas gift for someone :)

compare to a $200+ -> psp
and $200+ -> swab and eclipse ..

I will tend to buy psp..hehe, how do you think?

haha you already know the answer..... :bsmilie:

for me i dun bother the dust as i seldom shoot in small aperture that dust significantly can be seen....

i regularly do light cleaning with blower and bring it to CSC one a year for cleaning

Not sure which camera you are using... but why not just send it down to the service center for cleaning? If the camera is under warranty, sensor cleaning is free.

Nah... have to pay. The warranty covers manufacturing defects.

You can refer to this guide to check for dirt or dust on your sensor.

Btw, if you used the same method to check the sensor after you have attempted to clean the sensor yourself, make sure you don't see "tyre skid marks". That is an indication of scratches on the sensor. The only way to get rid of the scatches is to send it in for repair. Most likely it will require changing of some components of the sensors or totally replace the sensor. Either way, it is going to cost you $$$$..

I notice a black spot on my photo,
however, I have already checked my filter (which have been cleaned),
there are no dust or spot, same for the both side of the lense.

how could this black spot coming from? any method to check and find out
the source of these black spot?

anyone can help ? thank a lot :)

how do you ensure your blower itself is clean (have minimum dust) before blowing onto the sensor?

DIY DONE. with a SGD 9 rocket blower ;)
save my money for psp hehe.

of course I still can find some tiny dust at f22 and above if you notice it carefully.

but at least f20 and below don't have significant dust can be seen now.

Thanks for all replies and advice ;)
cleaning sensor is not that difficult.. all newbies should try :)
