Any idea what happened to the CS eMag or something like that? Generated some hype
no idea too....

Hmm agree that Singapore got small market for print publication... maybe the printing cost can be reduced through:

1) Overseas printing (China/Thailand?)
2) Print advertisements
3) .....

We could also consider integrating the magazine with the web to make the publication even more value added...

On the other hand we could do online publication first... something like fredmiranda.com with more meat to it.. what do you all think?

well. no sponsor. no $. so yah. unless we can get sponsors and etc. i believe this magazine would be highly possible.

but if we were to do mags. we will be moving CS into a very very commercialised forum.

:dunno:

other than the mainstream magazines, the market for art/hobby related publication is quite pathetic in singapore, even if you got people to print, sales is a problem, therefore sponsorship is a problem, therefore cost is a problem.

remember how iPhoto started out ? sometimes we see that CS gets publicity there.

and now, being commercialised. i feel that the magazine was a flop. compared to others, iPhoto was definately losing something called content.

play around? I think its a expensive "play"... don think it will work unless there is a certain no. of guys who can give constant support, and maybe also some sponsors... etc
