As above, DSLR over film SLR....

Let me start:
- No need to record photo shoot's data. All store in EXIF for you to review and learn.

Cheers!

Regards,
Arto.

Can change ASA/ISO anytime (and faster too).

Regards,
Arto.

Better at low light condition, more control, better weight? And feels better in my giant hands :bsmilie:

For just the opposite reasons to this thread .... "Why do you NOT want a DSLR?"

Note: threadstarter is comparing DSLR with film SLR, not any other digicams.

Another advantage:
- instant review of image

The real reason??/....because everybody is talking about it.:bsmilie: :bsmilie:

actually after using film for about 6 months, i do not know if DSLR do have an advantage over film, that's why I am keeping my film cam for my "hobby" shots and still considering if I want a D-version

to fulfill the "pro-photographer" wannabee inside

Er.. talking abt advantages over a film SLR leh..

Instaneous reviews....

Ability to shoot more at a lower cost vs film.

Hasn't this topic been discussed on say about a dozen threads before? Anyways...

Ability to change ISO on the fly. Really one of the greatest advantages of digital SLR besides the instant review feature over film SLRs.

oops so sorry....

erhm.... can shoot and shoot and shoot and shoot and shoot and shoot....

then delete those that u dont like, keep those u like, and need no spend money on developing.

i remember last time, when i was still using a film cam, not a slr that is, i already find it ex to use film.

5 bucks for film, process about 15- 21 bucks. 1 time go and shoot 36 pictures cost me 20-26 bucks... so lor..... is slr, might be worst.

my d70s now shutter count about 2K. wah, if use film.........

No need to reload at every 36 shots
Just reload every 112 shots (RAW on 1GB card)
Can check exposure using histogram on the spot

Interchangeable lenses, better feel, better performance and colour distribution as compared to compact digicams.

i think the thread title a bit misleading........
