in broad day light?? or even in some shaded area in day time?

was at a parade ( abt 6pm onwards) where i saw some photographers use omni bounce with their external flash and shooting close ( abt 1m to 3m ) from the subject. with flash pointing direct at subject.

is there and article where i could learn more abt flash and its usage?? for when and where??

thanks:):)

This is done to fill the shadow areas as well as to give the subject catchlights in the eyes for the sparkling effect.

read more from the above link.... ;)

just give it a try yourself... use auto-fill flash... I demoed it to a friend on holiday (mid day shot in bright sunlight, which would otherwise produce harsh shadows on a person's features) and he was suitably impressed with the difference...
