In the past, their 'Special' offers and 'Low' price was not a straight offer - it was a 'hidden' lucky draw that only some could 'Win' back the 'discount'.

Are these genuine offers?

Note that in all their ads, the prices is always preceded by a "fr". As such, it could mean anything. You'll have to guess the day's winning 4D numbers or something like that, and if your guess is right, you get the rebate.

It's all too gimmicky, I think.

Nah, not me, some lucky guy who went there to queue but I'm not sure what are the prices for the nikon sets.

Do you believe that the sale is genuine? I had seen used and obsolete components selling at above market price for comparable brand new dvd models at the mapherson outlet. I asked the salesmen if it was a joke. He said everything was brand new. I asked him why the brand new units are full of scratches and blotches and dents. He said poor handling. I shook him on his shoulder with my firm hand and said "good try!" Then he murmured "you can bargain." I thanked him for trying again. :bsmilie:
