I think it should be even more dangerous than soldiers

at least soldiers are armoured and armed with weapons....

Soldier = Metal protect flesh
War journalist = Flesh protect their metal (camera body, lenses, equipment, etc etc)

:D

Soldier = flashbang
War journalist = flashgun

Soldier = shoot bullet
War journalist = shoot pictures

Soldier = SBO (i think)
War journalist = Lowepro

Soldier = four wheel drive land rovers
War journalist = microdrive IBM

:bsmilie: thats a gd one

how u all know it is 1d???

It's darn scary to see that pic.
The camera seems to tell soo much about the situation in Iraq (and the dangerous situation that those journalists are facing)..

eeks.

But on a lighter note, do you think that the photographer of this pic would take the camera and use it? :D

see the "canon digital" sling?

also the camera has no builid in flash, so it is either 1D or 1Ds.

i doubt any one will need to shoot war photograph at 11MP and carry lots of 1GB CF with them. so most likely it is a 1D lor

It's a 1D.

No war journalist would take a 1Ds to cover the war. For fast action and event, the 1D is really cut out for the task ;)

Like the DCS 760 (D2000), the 1D is a standard issue for the journalists....

Hey childrens! Wake up!! It's war there..........who cares what cameras are used there......give me a break.......what kind of banal talk is this all about. No wonder the photography scene here in Singapore is of such low quality if you guys are more interested in these equipment talk.
