Sigma 10-22, is a very nice wide angle lens and the price is reasonable

Having owned the sigma 10-20 and tokina 12-24, I would go for the sigma. The 2mm wider advantage makes a lot of difference. That's the whole point of going wide.

Hi what is the price like??

Sigma 10-20

btw, my suggestion is to go and rent 1 and try it out...

initially i thought i need 1 too, but i tried it out and i realise mayb i dun need it tat much...

i had a friend who is in a similar situation, and he also just told me he dun really like UWA...

to each his own

I love my Tokina 11-16mm wD90, ard your budget as well.
Fav lens atm, though I only have x2...lol:bsmilie:

Agreed. Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 good lens I hav so far terms of wide angle. Less distortion. Gd low light performer as well. Price wise, cheaper then nikon lens for tat fast lens.

Hi, Your comments on Sigma 12-24mm with Nikon D700.

I use the Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6, and I really appreciate the 10mm end. You can try the new Sigma 10-20mm f/3.5.

why not pay a lil' more for the 12-24 from nikon?

its a great lens. you can also consider the 11-16 tokina

Haha yea. I see 2nd hand nikon 12-24 selling at 1000plus?
But I see people prefer tokina 11-16 or 12-24 than sigma 10-20.
They say sigma 10-20 not as sharp. :/ Idk, not too sure. Just to share. :)
