am looking for a variant nd filter,

purpose to shoot in sunny day(protrait) and sunrise/sunset

Hoya 77mm Variable Density 3-400 Filter

or

Kenko 77mm Variable NDX Neutral Density Filter (ND2.5 - ND1000)
 

IF I'm not wrong, both brands are of same build (glass), same manufacturer and same packaging, but different name. I can't really tell you which is better, but you do know that it's impossible to turn all the way to the maximum stop in broad daylight right? It will have a huge X across the image.
