, big or small? heavy, medium, or light duty?

I think Slik will be a gd choice..:) Manfrotto abit too ex nowadays.. If u want to get manfrotto stuffs can look for eugenep.. His prices are good..

PPCP tripod. Good for travelling. It's my lightweight tripod if I'm not doing model shoots.

go TCW or any 2nd hand camera shop and look for 2nd hand tripods..
good ones and cheap too if you're the practical type and dont really bother about how nicely a tripod is painted and such..

Hmm just called MS color.. no stock .. monday then come in :) gonna be there Monday!!;)

U can get it straight from ParkertR (member of CS)...

Slik tripod.

If you only want to use the tripod for self portrait (or group photo, when you want inside the photo), slik sprint mini may your good choice. IIRC, it is weight less than 1kg, height max is only around 1.25m, collapse only around 40cm. Cost you around $70.

Arto.

What's is your setup????
no point getting a "cheap" or weak tripod for a heavy setup...

I'm also looking for tripod under $100.

Not too heavy too.
Like I typed in post #5 of this thread, check that tripod out... ;)

TS did not tell us his setup so its hard to give him sound advise. I had learnt my lesson. should get a good tripod from the start and not and cheapo and regret later.

save and buy a better tripod, it will last you a good 10 years or more

mine is already more than 15 years old and still going strong
