Which Tamron Lens ?

or Tamron 28-300

another choice to consider is Sigma 18-125.

Performance wise, the 24-135 would beat the 28-300 in its range. Of course the superzoom has more reach but it once again depends on what you need.

As I told you, I paid $630+ for a brand new 24-135 and Leadwe is selling for $400+ for a used one. I beleive Leadwe is one who care for his lenses.

I used to own this 24-135. A great lens for its price. Color reproduction, saturation & sharpness are good. On the short side, focus is a bit slow & no full time manual focus.

Have you given Tamron 28-75 SP F2.8 a thought? I would recommend it over 24-135. Fix & with max aperture of 2.8 is a plus plus.

yes, 24-75 is better with for f2.8 all the way but dun think it fit the walkabout though.

sumball: thanks for the good word. The lens is actually 28-75, not 24-75. I would be most happy if Tamron comes out with a 24-75. Really cherish the extra 4mm. Ok, shall not say too much since I may not be independent. ;p

ops, why did i type 24... hahaha agree, will be damn happy with that extra 4mm but again, the quality wise might diff and may risk to lose the constant 2.8.... :bsmilie:

Get the 24-135mm lens from Leadwe. It is better than 28-300mm.
