i need a flatbed scanner/film scanner...
budget $400-500, preferrrably below $400.

was looking at the

Canoscan 5000f . what do u guys think of it?

any other recommendations? will be using it mainly to scan photos, pictures, maybe documents.

anyone know if there are trade ins for scanners?

I would suggest that you get a dedicated film scanner if you want to scan film. Pictures will definitely be better than a flatbed scanner.

you might want to consider Duel III. It is a dedicated film scanner which costs around your budget.

that would be the Minolta Dimage Scan Dual III :)

Hi ,

I am quite happy with my scanner. It all depends on what you want to do with the final product; to print, to post on web...etc.
I use the EPSON 2450. You see the pictures at the gallery.

considered a dedicated film scanner... but i still need flatbed for other scannning. But flatbed scanners seem rather slow...

how long would it take to scan a roll of 36 on a flatbed?

anyone with reviews on the hp scanjet 5500c? i like the photo feeder.... seems my mom threw away the negatives of all the pics we took last time :(

is there any shop that scans printed photos anyway?
