Doing some research, anyone has any idea which PDA has the largest physical screen? Doesn't matter which PDA, can be old or new models.

You also need to take note of the pixel count too. Some screen can be big but the pixel count is small. Like the Dell Axim 51V which is a VGA which means 640 x 480 but it is not driven as such. Microsoft's PC mobility OS drives it at a quarter size so it keeps the text and windows in lower pixel mode so people with poorer eyesights can use it still.

Also some of the larger screen need to be driven by the latest graphic engine too if not it can be very slow to draw the screen. So larger screen does not alway equal to bigger high res screen to view picture files.

My PDA screen size is 5.4cm x 7cm for the largest picture size after I minus the border and menu. If I dont minus out those stuff, the screen size is 5.6cm x 8cm. Screen pixel: 320x480 pixel LCD screen. 4 Yrs Old liao Not exactly big but bigger then my D70's for sure. heh.

If normal sized one, HP Ipaq HX4700. 4" 640x480 screen.

If up-sized one, probably the DualCor Windows Mobile 5.0 Phone Edition & Windows XP Tablet PC Edition combo device. 5" 800x480 screen.

Thanks guys for your input - I'm looking for a PDA with the biggest physical size, the pixel count is not important.

But it should be a PDA, not a tablet or notebook kind of size.

Just to add on, what I'm doing is ordering a screen protector from a PDA screen protector shop. I'm planning to use it for other purposes (custom cut to my own size) and because all models the price is the same, I'm getting the biggest one. For palm devices, that would probably include the silk screen area.

Is the IPAQ 4700 still the way to go?

Yeah, the Ipaq HX4700 would be the biggest then. I too did the same thing for protecting my other devices.

Thanks Denosha - I now know what to get :)
