Some fella on PF touting this as the best focusing screen for fast lenses.

KatzEye is definily over price imo. Even those K3 or Ee-S screens from focusingscreen.com are not that cheap. It's a lot hassle to put in and aline the focusing screen properly w/o scratching it. Now I just either rely on the stock screen or LiveView.

so may ppl say that k-3 is good... so want to hoot one and compare with my current one...
saw your thread on HK one... and it is very close to my current one... so don't want to buy that again...

Alternative and maybe a even better solution if you use MF to shoot still or slow things will be to get a Hood-loupe and use liveview.
The China made ones are probably around $80.

Ok, i have dropped them an email.. .Let's see whether they can cut down the Canon EE-S focusing screen down to Pentax K-r's size. Haha!
If they do, then i think i will order..

If they can't, then i will just settle for the K3... ;/

Thought of trying the Canon EE-S but currently no stock for k5. Think you have to wait awhile as I last read from pentaxforum, the same thread. They are trying to get stocks from Japan.

OP at SLS have 1 when i last visit 6 month ago... about 60 with installation
i didn't buy because want to try ppl say good...

but for you info, mine unknown brand that i am using i good for bright time...
if i go for concert... it is dark and cannot focus at all, only with strong spot light then can work...:think:
in my HDB flat room light still can work ...

You mean for Pentax K-r fitting or K5?
Haha! If for K5 then no point for me..

I asking focusingscreen.com for a Kr fitting. And yea... Noted of the updates regarding the out of stock issues. Haha!
Lemme just bug them for atleast a tentative date. Having so much fun using manual...
