if u really wan den I say manfrotto 680 with 234 swivel head will fulfill ur needs
Agreed that it is quite a light set up but i was thinking of using it for night shoot and video taking. It is very tiring when holding the 7d with a 24-105mm L Lens while taking video.

If it's for the purposes u stated above... I rather u get a sturdy tripod instead

night shoot? Meaning night land/cityscapes? Then you'll need a tripod, not a monopod...
Any monopod is good enough. Your setup isn't particularly challenging to hand hold anyway.

For video tripod is better because you may want to hold at a position for a long time or pan at a contant height. For video, manual focussing is recommending so tripod helps in this also allowing the hands to be 'more free'. Just sharing my opinion as I am also trying out video shooting and a monopod seems to be not the answer.
Sorry what I mean is night land/cityscapes. I am also taking video for RC helicopters during day time, that is why i thought using a monopod is better. I got a tripod but find that it is too cumbersome.

If you are into night cityscapes, tripod is a must. You are only wasting time with everything else regardless of what other people tell you.
cumbersome then you are not going to get any nice shots of night cityscape....
there's no two ways about it.. either bring ur tripod.. or just leave the camera at home..
or you can use the wall or something stable to place ur camera.. just that you might not always have such "help" around..
For landscape you need a good tripod. Pan head or ball head both works well.
For video, you need a tripod with a good pan head. Ball head will NOT do. What really works well for video is a video rig... something like this:

I wouldn't want to use that for photography, especially landscapes... too troublesome.
Light setup, needs no monopod for walkabout uses.
But you might need a tripod for landscape/long exposures.
Take a look at Benro. (I don't really like manfrotto as they are heavy, unless its CF.)
