Which lens to buy for my D100

Hi, I am deciding which wide angle lens to buy for my D100.
Basically, I am deciding between this two choices.
--20mm-35mm f2.8 tokina
OR
--17mm-35mm f3.5 tokina.

Pls give your views about this two lens and which one should I go for.

Hi Henessy, if you have only this 2 choices only, I recommend 17-35mm F3.5 Tokina.

I second the Nikkor lens suggestion. However, if your budget is small, then try the 18-35. Good optics for price. Or even the 18-70 DX.

I third the Nikkor option. You could even just go for a Nikkor wide prime. I picked a 2nd hand one up pretty cheap recently.

there's no 17-35 f3.5 Tokina lens, i'm afraid.

there's a 19-35 f3.5-4.5 Tokina lens though. u referring to this?

You have not stated your budget, it would help to narrow down your list of choices.

AFS 18-70mm f3.5-4.5G DX is a good lens if you are on a tight budget. :thumbsup:
