Which lens is best to use for fashion shoot?

recently i've bought Canon 55mm 1.8II EF lens. i wonder if it was sufficient for out door fashion shoot as i'm only a newbie to canon 450D camera.. Pls advise. Thank You

55 or 50mm, its popular for portraits shoot cos its cheap

Well, depends on your shooting style and how much space you have too. some people will shoot with 35-50mm lenses, others will use a 200mm, but then stand much further away...

Well, actually a kit lens (18-55) would do fine. Practice makes perfect.

50f1.8 not the best but will do the job... (also depend on the space constraint)

Thanks for the advise.. space is not a problem.. maybe lighting is.. i've tried using AV mode and flash-off mode,al servo, for day shoot, sometimes it gets blurred easily..
