After you said that i feel like smashing my camera on the floor and throw all my lens to the fire and burn them == !!!!!

This is funny. Why so angsty and emo? Does it really matter whether it's a FF or crop body? Unless you're more interested in owning high-end cameras than photography.

Welcome to CS!

Both APS-C and FF cameras are capable of shooting good portraits. The key lies in the person behind the camera. If skills not there, no matter how good the camera is, you will not be able to shoot good and nice portraits.

I encourage you to read more online, join some outings, shoot more and share more.

Portraits can be shot with any camera. Can you tell which one is shot by what kind of camera and lens? I will give you a prize if you can answer correctly.

Actually if you want to get a full-framer (5DMII) then you'd have to be prepared for higher costs when you buy lenses. Lens for full-frame DSLRs tend to be more expensive, compared to those for crop-frame DSLRs. But note that all full-frame lenses work on crop-frame DSLRs, but non-full-frame lenses DO NOT WORK on full-frame DSLRs! ;)

Correction... :nono:

some non-ff lens do work on FF bodies. ;)

An example is the DX 35/1.8 on a D700.

before u mislead people here, better explain in term of EF & EF-S or FX & DX lens(if u know what u're talking about) rather than "full frame & non full frame lens" which is very vague, and for the "more expensive" stuff i think u're refering to the L lens :D

A bit too generic and imprecise. The 50mm f/1.8 is an FF lens but it's the cheapest in the lens line-up of Canon, costs even less than the kit lens when purchased separately. Also, there are more FF lenses, simply because of compatibility with film cameras and origin of the EF lens mount. Even on crop body, sooner or later one has to get the FF lenses, e.g. when using prime lenses.

It is for the sake of unsuspecting newbies reading in silence that we need to correct any mistakes and misconceptions quickly. Or else more convinced misinformed individuals like himself will show up.

Bingo. My thoughts exactly.

I think he is just generalizing, which can be misleading though.

For equivalence lens in terms of zoom taking in the cropped factor between the lens for full frame body and lens specifically for crop bodies, generally the full frame lens can be more expensive. However, you can pick up a really cheap 50 f1.8 lens which is made for the full frame bodies and it can still be used on a crop body.

I hope, the sentence above is not misleading. Corrections??:)

These are really nice portraits.
Let me guess which photo was taken using which lens....hmmm :p

PS. Just wonder, how come I don't see more of portraits in your website since you are good in this?
