which flash you prefer, 550ex or 430 ex

550ex is quite big and heavy. This is what I do not like.
How about the quality of the pics got by them?

can really say about the pic quality "gotten" by both flashes as it really really depends on the photographers.
I dont own a 430 but played with it when i borrowed it from a friend. For mi, I prefer the 550, simpliy cuz it has more power and cycles faster.

Since you do not like the bulk of the 550EX, then go for the smaller 430EX. The colour balance between the two should be the same.

I bought a second hand 550ex one and half month ago. And sent it to service centre to replace the tube three days ago.
I am think of keeping 550ex or selling it to get 430ex.

How much can this 550ex with new tube be sold for? The exterior condition is about 7.5-8

Any suggestions?

i perfer a flash that i can use manual control, sometimes wireless control settings so i perfer EX550 or EX580 anyday.
