There's a very good question. Some will ask you 'what's the budget?'
and others "what you shoot?"

But most will suggest the lens they use most often or 'dying to have'

May the answer start flowing....:)

BTW, I use canon, so can't be specific on what lens you need. I belong to the "what you shoot?" type.

Hi i usually shoot product, Wedding and Portraits... Budget wise is around 2k
 

For portraits- AF-D 50mm f1.8 or f/1.4... OR AF-D 85mm f1.8... :)
 

If wedding... save up for the 17-35 f2.8 or the 17-55f2.8
