Hi guys,
Just sourcing for info regarding filters. Which brand makes the best filter? Or does it matter at all? Thanks!

Thanks guys for the input. So if I'm acquiring filters, just tell them B+W? I'm currently using Hoya. Is it an ok brand? I'm concerned about the lens without a filter, cos I dun want to damage it due to a weak financial front:D Currently, I use a UV filter as protection, will this filter change the quality of the pic? Thanks for all your advices.

Hoya is acceptable.

However even within hoya there is the normal UV or SHMC ones..

If the shot is crucial, eg. paid stuff, better to go without filter as even the best filters degrade IQ.

Do specify what filters you are using. Some say B+W are more effective for film cameras?
