hi all, i really don't know where to find such info, so just post my thread here.

Where to buy outdoor GPS equipment in Singapore?
i could find some dealers from Garmin's website, but they only sell those aviation equipment. I want to buy the Garmin GPSMAP 60 series or 76 series.
Anybody could help?

try sim lim square.

1st floor, forgot what's the store name. And this other shop on the 3rd/4th floor called sts communications.

:)

into geo-caching? :)

my colleague imported his from ebay cos there's a dearth of commerically available models here. came up to be cheaper than if he were to buy locally.

You can get it at Sim Lim Square on the ground floor or the 3rd floor. Get only the Garmin brand because free detailed routable maps of Singapore and Malaysia can be found here:

Go for the newer x version which can receive Satellite signals through thick canopy. I have the 60Csx and I highly recommend it for portability.

thank everybody so much. at least i have some basic idea where to look for them

unfortunately i'm going to some "wild" place. ;p i don't think the map is available anywhere.

but i still perfer either Garmin 60Cx or Garmin 60CSx, for their overall capacity in the wild, especially for the new signal receiving component.

sim lim square ground floor.. i oso cannot remember the name - but the shop has a lot of clocks for sale inside.. the prices are pretty competitive.

sim lim tower basement 1. got a shop specialising in nothing but GPS gear.... :)
