Where is your FZ5 manufactured?

Hi to all the bros who own a FZ5....Mind if you share where is your cam made in? Japan, China or others? I am going to buy a FZ5 by this weekend and I heard from dpreview that some cameras made in China were found to be defective and were banned from sales. (http://www.interfax.cn/showfeature.asp?aid=8449&slug=SONY) Seems that Sony cameras are the most affected. Just wanna double check the FZ5 is not made there....;p

yes really from japan thats why can hardly get them on cheap for 1st hand products unless you buy 2nd hand.

Positive, all Panasonic FZ5 are made in Japan (for now).

Thought you wanting to get a Sony F717?

I am hoping to upgrade my F-707 to a F-717. But I also like the ultrazoom of the FZ5. Never had an ultrazoom before so thought I should try
