Where do you buy your equipment

For those who don't know me, I'm from Emjay Enterprises, the new distributor appointed by Pentax since April 09.

Just a quick question- I'd like to know where you buy your equipment. If its online, which website and if its in a local store, which one? Maybe you can add some comments about your preferred choice.

From Orient Photo for my camera body; lenses are all 2nd-second, but hey, at least I give the sellers funds to upgrade to new lenses (I think ).

Why OP? Because it's a grey set and much cheaper then. Local retail prices are simpler too much higher.

And it's been getting worse, especially for the latest, newest K20D. When one finds out buying online from the USA is about $800 to $1000 less (even accounting for shipping charges), then it's a no-brainer. And it hurts too when we read of Pentax having price cuts and rebates elsewhere, but Singapore prices remain unchanged.

I bought K20D kit at IT Show 2008 and bought 50mm len from MS Color.

haha seriously though, i bought my tamron 17-50 from OP because the da* was out of my budget and it was the only source. my k20d will be shipped from usa because i want the extended usa warranty for when i'm there.

When I bought my K100D Super, it was during an IT show in 2007. I thought it was cheap, then i realize the day after, that they are willing to slash prices by $100 and more in the following days :thumbsd:

And then I discovered people were getting their stuff cheaper through online -> Amazon and eBay.

And hence:
K20D and 12-24 -> eBay Shueido . Body itself was $700 cheaper, and that is including shipping.

Bought a FA50 from TKfoto once. They were selling at $320 then which was a reasonable price for a local set.

IF buying locally during the past year, I'd get a grey set from OP. Coz they seem to be the ONLY one that displays Pentax gear prominently at eye-level...plus they're cheaper sometimes.
