You have to watch who you deal with...although some stores offer the cheapest prices, they can be a con or ripoff. SLS first floor, one of the famous shop is selling:
1. Olympus E500 at $1320 with 1GB with len kit think 14-48mm.
2. nikon D50 at $1250 with 1GB.
3. Minolta 5D at $1300 with 1GB.
(can bargain further)

All price inclusive GST...

Always getting excited when talking abt lenses. Hehe.
Its the FOV that matters leh. Maybe using it for a walkabout lens + 50-200mm as 'powerlens'.
