sports and wildlife are closely related realm of photography.... they both require big zoom lens, quick and accurate panning and at times, running around... technically they are in one family.

As for jewellery, need not shoot in macro, it depends on how you plan to shoot actually.

macro & nature are asimilar as you can't do any of them without a macro lens, a tripod or stable hands, and perhaps, macro flash etc etc... they come under the same family.

I only lieft out underwater (due to hang-over the night before the post) and micro photography (which i thought is too rare...)

fyi.

cheers ;)

1: wildlife photography does not need a fast lens, the reason why people need fast lens is not only because they need to capture something fast, it was also because you are able to shoot with minumum light compare to comsumer lens. You don't see lions, tigers, deers running around for nothing, most of the time they are resting or eating. Yes, birds photographer need a fast lens to capture the moment but they also like to hide in dark corner.

2: if you don't shoot them in macro, you won't able to show the audience the beautiful of a jewllery , they are usally small and tiny.

3: I can't do nature without macro lens? Are you sure?
