the strobist is a very shy animal. when you approach him/her, walk slowly, and try not to startle them.

when they are startled, they turn their strobes on you and hit you at full power, blinding you and then scamper away into the darkness.

their favorite places are botanic gardens, clarke quay and hotel rooms.

they fill their hunger by looking at XMMs and suck their lifeforce out. the lesser the clothes, the more ravenous they get.

The king is so going to kill you :bsmilie:

pray tell, who is this king that you speak of, that i may seek him out and train to be a jedi strobist

To know that, you must join the randomers and submit yr feet :bsmilie:

actually if you check the thread archives i have submitted my feet before in the early days of randomers...

...just that couldn't keep up with the fast and furious thread growth and dropped out.

i am ashamed.

will u still love me? :bsmilie:

You did?! Hmm I think I vaguely remember... Haha feel free to pop in anytime;)

ANYWAY.

back to the topic.

how come nobody talk about strobing?

i thought we have a very keen group of strobists on the forum?

Randomers are also great strobists.

The other day one Randomers roasted a grasshopper with a speedlight. Smelt like someone burning satay.

LOL randomers can shoot, can cook, can joke.

Marry a randomer today!

ermmm Sion i've always been curious, because apart from the (supposed) occasional self-portrait... i've never seen you post any of the shots you've taken... what type of photography are you normally into?

it's a serious question.

because... i don't even know for sure whether you are male or female :bsmilie:

I am a self-employed product photographer. These days my photos are not so stylized.

They are not worth posting here. They won't attract comments or win a prize. But they bring in just enough money to feed me. I get to take photos all day. Can't complain about that. :bsmilie:

you're truly a master of light-painting and photoshop :thumbsup::thumbsup:

you're truly a master of light-painting and photoshop :thumbsup::thumbsup:

this reminds me that I have been nagged about picking up more photoshop skills.

like how to make people less fat. how to air-brush skin. how to get rid of eye bags.

haven't got round to it yet!

I'm moving into wide angle landscapes and architecture, but also looking into studio portraits. havent worked much with people, so the latter will be a challenge..

two different fields... interesting!

i guess to start off... the middle ground to begin... would be environmental portraiture :bsmilie:

but yeah people are never easy to work with. all the best!
