What to buy?

Would like to get a digital cam with:
- either 2 or 3 MP (Haven't decided whether I want print large)
- Budget $300~$500

Currently looking at:
- Nikon 2500
- Canon A40
- Canon A60
- Canon A70

Are there any other recommended alternatives?

What would be a good buy?

Would use camera for holiday shots including night shots.

Will like to start off with simple point and shoot and given the option to fiddle later on.

since u say like dat,
then ya should go for canon A60/70 loh..

nikon cams, i think in general not dat good for nite shots cuz they lack the AF Ai thingie..
well.. their new one coolpix sq has it...
but its still limited..
haha

of course, this is a newbie speaking lah..
still have yet to get a digicam myself..

cant decide btw a70 flexbility and coolpix sq chio form and lotsa automodes... ( i am semi-lazy ....;p )

Just like to comfirm A60/A70 got manual functions that A40 does not have right?

a40 has limited manual functions as in the aperture value is limited to either the biggest or smallest value in manual mode.
