My mom just got a 5mp Kodak easy share Z7590 and I was going to get her a 1 gig SD card for it. What speed SD card should I get. Does the camera limit the speed of the card, so would i want to match the two so I don't spend more on a higher speed card that the camera won't even utilize. Thanks for the info.

Not too sure, but is there an SD card that comes with it? Does it work well, ie sufficient speed for your mom/your use?

Usually a normal speed SD card, which is cheaper, will be sufficient. Unless you are taking alot of pictures in quick succession (which your camera must be able to do), you will only need a normal SD card. I use a normal speed Kingston SD 1GB card with my Nikon D50 (which has buffer) and can still take continuous shot of 2.5fps.

Hope this helps.
