What software / technique used to build this website?

Hi all,

I happened to browse this website : www.kosoff.com
I am interested to know what software / technique used to build the animation on the menu and also on the gallery page, where you have the thumbnails at the bottom and when you move the cursor on it, you get the bigger picture shown above it.
