What level is good for cameras and lenses?

Would a RH level of 30-35% dry up the coating on lenses? Heard from a friend...

If that's the case I might actually need a humidifier.

Since moving to Seattle, I have not plugged my dry cabinet (even though I have a 110V-220V transformer). The hydrometer read about 35% most of the time.
