I hope cost of raw materials become cheaper and oil price decrease so that we can buy lenses at lower price.
Smart lens, which senses the unevenness of the lightling, apply some filters in those
bright areas to darken it, in order to get a more uniform exposure.
And smart lens which can focus on subjects and defocus other areas, which creates
a false depth of field thus better background.

Built in filters technology at the selection of a button, whether it is GND, ND2, ND4, Starlight, UV, etc?
I'll rather have better lens manufacturing technology rather than all the bells and whistles - so lenses with quality comparable with the Canon L or Leica lenses can be made more afforable!
Faster zoom lenses, definitely. f/2.8 is still a whole stop slower compared to many fast primes.

for optical quality you prob dun want to go there..

1. Price - bring down the price of lenses (good ones) through:
a) Breakthrough in manufacturing processes/technology
b) New and better materials that can be produced more economically
2. Design
a) Smaller, lighter and more durable (scratch, knock, fungus and splash proof)
b) Further improvement on VR/IS technology
c) Eliminate warp on corner for wide-angle lenses
3. Range
a) One lens fits all :think: , you carry only one lens. No need to change lens, not issue
with dust, weight .....erm....are we referring to P&S :bsmilie:

Yupz...as said earlier that this liquid lens is made for fast autofocusing.
Maybe in future all lens will have IS or VR capabilities when it becomes more affordable.
