an experienced photographer once taught me that there are only four stages in photography

1. interest stage
2. learning stage
3. exploring stage
4. expressing stage

i can't remember the exact words for the last stage, but it's the stage when one becomes a competent photographer. he mentioned that most people can stay at stage 3 for many many years, even decades, and never reaching the last stage (few would)

We haven't sufficient circumstantial evidence for you yet. But we would spend the next 12 months interviewing 300 CSers to accumulate proofs.
