unless they were in a boat, a few hundred yards from shore, your kit lens should be fine.

Face only, half body or full body?
How much bokeh you want?

i can use 800mm lens with 2x TC to shoot people far far away on the mountain jumping.

Or if the 4-6 people (and me!) are together inside a cardboard box, i'd need to use a 10.5mm fisheye lens

:what: the cardboard box explode sooner or later. so don't need fisheye lens, just patience.

or 24-70 mm f/2.8
