What lens to buy next ?

Hi All,

I have the Canon EOS300, 28-105mm USM & 75-300mm USM lens. Quite satisfied with the 28-105 mm and the clarity.
Don't use the 75-300mm that much. Feel that it becomes very soft
at most ranges.
What I am looking for ?
Well I guess some lens that has sharp and crisp quality.
Not too exp though.

Any recommendations ?

U may want to get a wide angle zoom

Tokina 19-35 around $360-$390
Canon 20-35 around $820-$850

sell all your lens and get the 24-85 as a all in one.

otherwise depend on your subject and budget, then can advise you.

what do u like to shoot most? thats gonna be your motivation. let your inner vision decide

some suggestions for relatively cheaper+sharper lens:

20mm/f2.8: for superwide scene

50mm/f1.8: for almost anything when u r lazy to think too much

200mm/f2.8: for isolating subject


the "others" like 16/2.8, 300/f4, 400/5.6, 500/f4 and "in-betweens" like 24/2.8, 35/f2, 135/f2, cater to those with more exacting vision. feel free to try them out

or maybe someday u will gonna end up with the "standard" 17-35/2.8, 28-70/2.8, 80-200/2.8, 3002.8, 1.4x, 2x which is also fine

Is there any kind of shot that you must take but could with the present setup?
