What is your longest record of keeping a digicam?

With rapid advancement in technology and ever busy "BUY AND SELL" thread in this forum, I am curious to know what is yr longest record of holding on TO the same digicam. And perhaps also why? Just a thread to show off your good "buddy.

given as a gift 2 years ago. the only digital camera i have and don't use, my wife likes it though.

Canon G1 bought it may 2002,been using it everyday except my off days.
Been thru 1 major operation and 1 minor ones,now looks really worn out and used with some a corner of the Lcd broken,zooming lever jammed and wordings on it faded..
Still going strong though..

Well.. I'm still holding on to my Kodak DC280 (2mp, 2x optical zoom, no manual controls at all). Had it since around 1999 so that's 5 years already.. Upgraded to a DSLR but still kept it around as a handy backup.

In fact, i'm going to bring it with me to Thailand later tonight. Bringing a DSLR on a 6 day SAF trip is abit overkill..

Haha, i know what you mean. I have a female friends who diedie wanted me hunt down a pink camera for her. Regardless of cost nor specs, as long as pink can liaoz. :dunno:

Din know that kodak cameras are so "enduring" and have such faithful owners. :thumbsup: :thumbsup: As for DSLR, I think majere2sg is currently the longest user.

the longest was 6 mths (my 1st oly c-350) bought it in time for my honey moon last year. shortest would be my F707, 2mths b4 my major upgrade to DSLR!

Well, I am still holding on to my Kodak DC120. Never uses since then and it hardly clock more than 1000 pictures, sigh now in my museum! But this camera has taken an award winning images for me in 1998 - Singapore 1st digital photography contest ... 2 commenable mentions.... :bsmilie:
