What is your goal in photography?

I am just wondering what is the goal that you want to achieve in photography?

As for me, after shooting this & that for a while, I am kind of lost. I don't really know what I want to achieve. For example, shooting portraits, is it just that pretty face? or you want to be another Greg Gorman or Sarah Silver? If just another Greg Gorman, then you will forever be 2nd class at best; if not, what do you want to be? I am just terribly lost. :dunno:

My goal with photography, as with my other creative expressions, is just to be able to express myself properly when all is said and done.
The creative process itself is always something I have appreciated.

unlike u i prefer to make photos than to pay for them. :bsmilie:

ok, jokes aside, any serious thoughts? i remember some CSers once said they have great passion in photography, and high hopes/expectations, would like to hear from those ppl as well. I am old and totally uninspired.

yes, i agree, for all the photojounalists out there, and the crime photographers, insurance photographers, etc. So you are one?

Simple i just want a memory backup .. to capture those special moment and action which in years to come i might forget
