What is your average shutter count per month? Eg in 1 year old cam may have yielded 12,000 shots with average of 1000 shots a month.

Photography as a general hobby, im taking approx 200 shots per month.

Just gathering feedback from fellow CSers on your shooting frequencies.

first mth, estimated about 2.5k

It really depends on a lot of factors, don't you think? For casual photographers. we can all have huge variance from month to month. Professionals, on the other hand, are probably way heavier users, but more stable. Why ask, anyway?

past 2 years? just pass 10k.

yet past 2 days? 4k cause of event coverage.

I've just started out photography about 9 mths ago. About 35k+ shots.

I am averaging about 1000 per mth for the last 6 mths. I guess for me, the weather is a big factor on a surge in the shutter count for that particular month.:)

Just the past month alone and it counts to a total of 600 shots. Even though I bring it everywhere, for me, I take photos of only things that interest me. Well of course friends and family ;)

Nv count..nv keep track...vary from 50-200 I guess...if there's special event like tour/events then can go up to 1k in days...;p

From the start of this year till now....mine is 4k

18k shutter count in 6 and a half months for me.

so around ~2800 shutter count per month :)

Jan 2010 till Jun: 1,282

I think I need to shoot more. haaaa

Why no ask:

How many times have you done a shutter replacement since you started shooting?

<100 during the months of January to October.
November and December: Up to 3k/month.

1 shot, 1 kill. I think I get an average of 1 "good" shot every 25 frames
"Good" = goes onto my website. Have a look at the link in my signature. ")

yeah, like sinned said, ask tungtong...

ask tungtong
3k.... PER DAY haha. But just because he shoots alot, that doesn't mean he has a low keeper rate...
I must say he is one of the top 3 photographers in Singapore in my honest opinion. His photography puts 99.999% of the us to shame.

From December 09 to June 10, > 8800 shots ... works out to > 1250 per month.

But what's important is the rate of keepers. 1 in 20 to 25?

When i first got my 500D did a lot of experimenting and learning etc. Keeper rate was extremely low.
For the F1 race i did about 3k over 3 days. Keepers were no more than 100. I did about 30K in my 500D before i upgraded. Since then i've slowed down substantially.

Now my keeper is still quite low but getting there .. I think. LOL
