What is this Green Dot on my LX3?

I believe that's the "focus-achieved" indicator. If it's blinking, it means that focus hasn't been acquired.

Yep, that's true.

Hence the green dot does not appear if Focusing is set to MF.

As others have stated. Do yourself a favour and go through the camera manual to figure out what all the icons and screen indicators mean.
