What is this and should it be of concern?

Could someone help me on this?

This is a 1 sec shot taken with a k-x and 18-135mm. The crop is of the bottom centre portion and there is this "red dot" there. I was wondering what it is and if its something i should be concerned about with the camera? I don't notice on other shots but frankly i haven't scrutinised the others. Just noticed this when i was randomly pixel peeping...

I'd be grateful if someone can enlighten me :)

Sorry i think it was taken with a Sigma 10-20mm (the variable aperture one) at the long end and not a DA 18-135.

Hot pixel.
Just map it out using the in camera function in the menu.
Happens to all cameras (any brand)

In fact, some brands don't even have the function to map out and you need to waste time to visit the service center. ;)

thanks pinholecam

Hot pixels typically show up with long exposures when the sensor is charged and heated. I used to have this issue with my old K100D shooting in the hot sun.
Like pinholecam said, just map it out. No issues except perhaps having to clone out during post processing.

thanks creampuff! done already. easy and quick operation on a full battery!
