My first macro photo.... i'm using a 35mm macro with my handy E-500, as i was trying my new macro lens when i spoted a whole bunch of antz in one leave i guess they where out to find food or something, and this one is on guard duty i think, so it just posed for me for quite some time so i can take the shoot. please c&c.

3 days no comments... i guess the pic is not compelling at all :(

Good try!
A bit soft thou...
Avoid centralising ur subject, a bit boring. Frame more to its right... :)

i think u r right about the boring part.. maybe becoz the colour didn't stand out..?? i think framing to the right is posible to propose that something is atracting the ants attention.

-Thanx for the input-:)

I like the fact that you have the ants eye in focus, that always makes insect pictures more intresting
I would have tried to more parts in focus
An intresting insect in sharp focus with a green background makes for a compelling shot

Talking about insect eyes, spiders have more than two :)
Nice try
