when your slr's shutter has shot 100,000 or more shots, what will you need to do if it dies on you? buy new shutter as it's sent to the service center?...

wow i hope you're not referring to a film SLR... cos it would mean you've shot over 2700 rolls of film. :what:

if it's digital, i hear that the shutter life is much more robust than that. 100,000 is just a guide number. and your CCD/CMOS is more likely to die on you than the shutter (i think). but to answer your question, if the shutter dies on you, just bring to service center for a replacement. it would have served you faithfully by that time. :D

Assuming you can still get a shutter that is ....
