What exactly is PictBridge?

Read somewhere about it. But not quite sure what it is. Is it something that allows the labs to print directly our 4:3 format? As compare to now, their format is 3:2 while most digicam gives out 4:3 format and some part will be cropped off during printing. Anyone can explain? Thanx.

Hi togu, been there before I post. I'm still not sure if its the same thing I read in a magazine before. The mag says something about the future printer will folow the present 4:3 format. And its going to be a standard....I was wondering if pictbridge is talking abt the same thing...
