Hi all,

I was wondering when people says "copy" in the forums? What does it means?

Does it mean some people buy/own more than 1 of the same lens? if so? why har?

Do you mean in the sense of "my lens is a good copy"? Well, all manufactured lenses are a copy of a design original. they're basically saying their specific lens is sharp.

Copy that...urm...

Basically, copy simply means a duplication of the master. In other words...exactly the same. Does it really matter to any of us...I just wonder.

Thanks all

We use this word to say that different copies of the same lens may not be the same, i.e. not all the same lenses will perform similarly, there is some variability and some issue with quality control.

just remember this when you are selling lenses "I have a sharp copy ...." :D
