Hi all

Was wondering what kind of paper are preferred for digital inkjet printouts on images like art paintings, black & white close-up of human face featured photos etc

I understand some prefer a lightly coated paper, off white & textured surface to bring out the authentic colours, the shade contrast & the touchy feel.

On the other hand some go for glossy finished photo paper for that sharp shiny prints.

a. Generally when do people choose the latter or the former?
b. Does the type of prints image dictate what paper to use?
c. Will a full time professional photographer use a different paper? How about a hobbyist?

Is 'giclee' printout alive in Singapore?

What is your view?
