ha ha, KS lah... after once my cam got error, 1 time flash stopped flashing, 1 time memory card corrupted(2 image only lah), better bring back-ups. Especially batteries. 2X Quantum, not enough, sure use AAs near the end of dinner.

wow...you like "show hand" all your stuff...abit over kill....?

abit tiring to carry that load :sweatsm:

usually I only bring two bodies, 2 sets of batteries each, 2 flashes and the usual lenses. already find it tedious.

What to bring is depend you shooting style.

Many photographers shoot with one body with one lens, one flash, another body lens and flash are back up in bag.

I don’t shoot with many lens, the most two lens, and now using AA batteries, daytime only need 5 batteries (SB800), evening using the same set of batteries plus the SD8A.

I know Gary Fong also bring that amount of equipments, but look at his rates.

2 Bodies, 17-55 (90% of photos), 12-24 and 70-200, 2 SB800s and 1 SB600. I find the chances of flash tube failure is much higher than body failure. I've already replaced the tube on one of SB800 at Nikon twice.

Thought of using AAs but recharge rate is really slow on my 580EX. I also shoot with 2 lens and 1 body, 1 flash. The rest are in the bag too..

Either your Quantum battery 1+ need to replace battery cell or you only shoot in manual power or shooting too much,
I used to use Quantum battery 1+ and homemade battery pack during film days, the homemade battery pack also serve me well, but now use AA battery for daytime is good for me, evening using SD8A is good enough.

What people mostly do is prepare for a whole day continue shoot (just in case), but mostly we do have a break in between, don't you think what you bring can shoot for 2 days non stop?

Difinitely can last two day, thats what backup is for, if backup cannot last, no point bringing.
For a 6 hours job, bring a 48 hours supply, if this is what you believe, so please don't complain bring to much things.

No, this posting is to benefit those who want to try wedding shoot, not about complaining...
Moving on.....

Anyone else can share your setup for wedding shoot?;)

Not really...still got 17-35, 28-135 and 70-200 never bring...

Zoom lens is for on the move, when do tea ceremony and makeup sessions etc, use prime. So I just bring slightly more than neccessary. 1 pro told me, better more than less mah...

I find it shacked also, but always try to put my bag somewhere safe then move around with my "SBO" with 1 body 2 lens, 1 prime, 1 zoom.

Dun talk about me, share leh...

i was once on a learning trip with my friend(not as a back up).i took my f70 and f90x with 28-80,50 and a 70-300.and of course my !@#$% sb-22s(hate that flash).

use mostly my 28-80 for the whole day and dinner and 50 for some outdoor.70-300 for outdoor but less than 10pic...

thinking of getting a better flash...

SB800? Actually 28-80 is enough liao to cover wedding. My prime lens are mainly for blurring background, normally a unneccessary crowd:bsmilie:
