Hi, What brand of CF card u use with ur Olympus camera?
I am trying to collate the results

Please provide the details :

Camera model
Brand of CF
Megabye size
Speed
Write speed on ur camera
Reliability so far

Camera model - Olympus E20P
Brand of CF - Ridata, Scandisk, Kingston
Megabye size - 256MB, 16MB, 16MB respectively

* Didn't take any timing of the write/read time *

What is the speed difference between ur 3 CF? What about reliability?

As for me,

Oly 5050
CF - Digicard 128 and Sandisk 32 both are about 9 sec for 2560 HQ write times as indicated by the flashing led light after shooting

OK, just did a test with the Sandisk Ultra 256mB

3 sec on the oly 5050 at hq 2560.

So far the fastest CF i have personally tried. But NCP and Ridata are faster. But Ridata known to crash.

I have been using Ridata for 2 years. Never crash before leh...:dunno:

How do u find the performance you CF cards, CK?

Ridata quite good ley. Never had a problem with it before.

Your Ridata use with which camera?

How fast are ur write times?

C5060
Sandisk
128MB & 256MB

Happy with these, plan to get another 512MB (Sandisk, Hagiwara, Ridata or Pretec). Will decide after this poll. :D

paiseh OT a bit...

<OT>
what's the max write speed of the 5050? Coz me so fast only using 256xD card, and wanna get CF card. But no point getting fast read/write speed one if camera cannot support right?
</OT>

TIA!

Nikon D70
Sandisk Ultra
512Mb
6Mb/sec
Very reliable - although a friend's 256Mb Sandisk Ultra developed bad sectors!! But it was replaced.

D70 with 512 Sandisk

the buffering is really effective so i can get abt 11 continuous shots before the buffer fills up and the card is still writing.....

good enough for me not to spend the extra dough on the superfast lexar with WA.

i rather spend the cash to get more cards....

used sandisk for my canon s45 too. no probs. heck, the 32mb cf card that was packaged with the canon s45 was stickered as canon but also has sandisk on it....guess that canon get their cfs from sandisk.

2X256MB Sandisk & 1X128MB Hitachi
Recently brought the two Sandisk card.
Been using the Hitachi card since I brought the camera, about 2 years already.
Everything is working fine :)
