what are you currently listening to at the moment?


let me kick off..

Listening to some old stuff, Crooked Rain,Crooked Rain from Pavement

Crooked Rain,Crooked Rain was released back in 1994, but it still sounds like yesterday :thumbsup:

Mostly the new stuff from Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, Bright Eyes, Babyshambles, Animal Collective, Broken Social Scene. And lots of old favourites like Jim White, Radiohead, Elliott Smith, and of course.. Pavement. :)

Animal Collective is pretty nifty too.

anybody remembers Dinosaur Jr? :bsmilie: those were the days.. :sweat:

Mandarin oldies from 1960's
no MTV then, no video or dance moves
then, singers can really SING as the voice is all you get

whether English songs or Mandarin songs, the same applies

to know what I mean, try listening to Madonna murdering
Don MacLean's American Pie. When DM sings it, it is beautiful.
When Madonna sings it, yuks.....

Madonna cannot sing and she knows it
so make do with sexy outfits and video moves

originally, when the first music videos (or promotional performance clips) came out, they were meant just as that .. to promote, sell the MUSIC. now it seems like the video itself is just, if not more, important as the music.
